SINCE ITS INCEPTION IN 1991, PMCC has considered the delivery of project management services to the oil, gas and support industries one of our core competencies.
Our staff has extensive experience with both upstream and downstream oil, gas and support industries projects. From the construction of compliant towers to the installation of pipelines in Africa, PMCC has helped oil companies and service providers improve their project performance. Through corporate wide training, we have enabled project team members to more competently use project management best practices. Additionally, we have assisted corporations with increasing their overall project management maturity by helping implement a corporate wide “project management language" and process supported by best practice project procedures.
Project managers and project organizations constantly struggle with issues related to engineering changes, variation requests from vendors, management's desire for more information, and a host of other issues. PMCC's staff can serve in a mentoring role to help project teams kick off meetings, assess risks, establish roles and responsibilities, and make sure that costs and schedule are truly integrated. We can also facilitate meetings to enable the project manager, project staff, field personnel, and clients to stay focused on the project.

Oil Company - Staff Training
Worked with an oil company to develop a one-day course for production engineers with less than three years experience. Primary focus was on scope development, scope management, and scheduling. We interviewed management and supervisors to gather corporate documents and then had them “buy into" successive drafts of the course.
Oil Field Service Company - Worldwide Training
Worked with an international oil field services company to develop customized training related to (1) Risk Management and (2) Project Execution Planning. We interviewed and coordinated discussions among five (5) international offices to ensure that the curriculum was focused and not culturally biased. Over 700 company employees attended the training classes at various corporate facilities around the world.
Offshore Oil - Consulting Services
Chevron/Texaco Agbami Project
Provided staff of Project Managers to develop and write project procedures for a multi-billion dollar project to be installed in Nigeria. Strategic and tactical execution plans were developed for the Agbami project for Chevron/Texaco, followed by the associated procedures required for carrying out the execution. Back to Top>
Major International Fabricator/Construction Offshore Oil Company
Chevron Genesis Project
Provided three planner/schedulers and a data entry clerk to assist in planning and scheduling the installation, hookup, and commissioning of a SPAR platform in the Gulf of Mexico. We used Primavera P3 as the scheduling tool and provided daily, weekly, and monthly reports through Primavera and Excel spreadsheets. Performed data entry for the Oracle Database that was used to develop and progress the schedule, as well as to track equipment, drawings, spare parts, turnover, acceptance documents, and other vital information. Shell Ram/Powell Project
Provided a planner/scheduler for one year to assist in the commissioning of a tension leg platform for the Gulf of Mexico. Also provided field audits of the status of the project controls effort.
